Courtland Simmons Winn papers, 1892-1940.

The collection consists of the papers of Courtland Simmons Winn from 1892-1940. The papers consist of scrapbooks, a small amount of correspondence, certificates, newspaper clippings, and photographs. The two scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings relating to Winn's successful 1910 campaign against James G. Woodward for Mayor of Atlanta. The collection also contains photographs of Winn; items relating to the Winns participation in civic organizations in Atlanta; Winn's 1892 certificate to pratice law in Georgia and his 1899 certificate from the Fifth Circuit Court of the United States; a resolution by the Atlanta City Council regarding Winn's death; and obituaries for Winn and his wife, Fannie Thomas Winn.
